Improvising for 20 years has had a huge impact on my approach to acting, storytelling, and collaboration. Through improv I've come to understand what listening without expectations really is and how to be fully present in the moment. For me the true joy of acting, whether it's improvisation or scripted, is being able to be open to surprises and adapt and respond to whatever happens in the scene with my scene partner.
I have a passion for character-driven stories, and I strongly believe that the relationship between the characters is the most interesting thing, regardless of genre. The past decade I have performed mostly improvised longform in different genres with International Theater Stockholm. Our most popular show, Lost in Translation (2012-2019), explored the experience of being a foreigner in Sweden and received awards for Best Improv Show in Sweden in 2015, and the Audience Choice Award at the National Award of the Performing Arts (Scenkonstgalan) in 2018. The show was performed in English and was particularly popular among the international community in Stockholm.
Over the past decade, I've had the privilege of playing recurring roles in various TV shows, including Ture Sventon and the Secret of the Bermuda Triangle (2019), Ture Sventon and the Fountain of Youth (2023), and More Panic in the Santa Workshop (2021) to name a few. Additionally, I have made guest appearances on comedy series and TV shows on the Swedish Children's Channel. In 2020, I was fortunate enough to be cast as the Ukrainian astronomer Marit in the short film Finito by Academy Award Nominee Patrik Eklund.
